SALT LAKE CITY-Stampin' Up!®,a Riverton-based manufacturer of rubber stamps and accessories for paper crafting, scrapbooking, digital designing and home décor held its annual convention at the Salt Palace Convention Center July 21-24, 2010. The convention brought almost 3,000 visitors to the state of Utah, all of whom came to share their love of creativity and crafting. Their love encompasses some of the most popular hobbies in North America such as card making and scrapbooking, and with Stampin' Up! they have been able to turn their love into a business opportunity.
Convention is a time for Stampin' Up! demonstrators to come together and be recognized for their accomplishments in their personal Stampin' Up! business as well as to see brand-new products for the first time and gain creative inspiration.
This year convention attendees were wowed by Stampin' Up!'s candy shop inspired display of sweets and treats all hand crafted with paper and embellishments. Products used came from the newly released Idea Book & Catalog and the highly anticipated release of the Holiday Mini catalog which will be available September 1, 2010.
In addition, attendees had a chance to explore a brand-new product line from Stampin' Up!-Designer Fabric. This new product line from Stampin' Up! will add a new layer of dimension for crafters and will coordinate seamlessly with other Stampin' Up! products such as patterned paper, known as Designer Series paper, and embellishments. The company also displayed a brand-new plate that can create an inked debossed impression realistic of an old-world letterpress. The new letterpress plates work in the Big Shot and can be used for a variety of projects including cards, invitations, scrapbook layouts and home décor.
