Stampin' Up! Named Manufacturer of the Year
SALT LAKE CITY (December 5, 2003) - The Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) recently gave its Manufacturer of the Year/Rural Development Award to Stampin' Up!®, one of the nation's leading manufacturers and distributors of decorative rubber stamps and accessories.
"We are delighted to receive this award," said Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up! cofounder and CEO. "We are proud of the employees at our Kanab manufacturing facility who have worked hard and helped the company reach its current level of success. I am pleased to see their efforts recognized."
Stampin' Up! was chosen as the Rural Development award winner because of its outstanding commitment to providing employment to the citizens of Kanab and Kane County. Stampin' Up! established its headquarters to Kanab, Utah, 10 years ago. The company grew quickly, and headquarters were later moved to Salt Lake City to support the company's growth and success. Through the years that Stampin' Up! has been headquartered in Salt Lake City, it has maintained its manufacturing facility in Kanab as a symbol of the company's appreciation and loyalty to the employees in the area who helped make the company what it is today.
The MEP is a nonprofit organization that seeks to recognize excellence in manufacturing in Utah companies. The organization officials will present the Rural Development Award to Stampin' Up! executives in Kanab on Friday, December 12, 2003.
