Stampin' Up! Contributes to Tsunami Relief

Calls on Other Utah Companies to Do the Same

SALT LAKE CITY (January 5, 2005) - Shelli Gardner, CEO of Stampin' Up!®, announced today that her company will donate $250,000 immediately to assist with the tsunami relief effort, as well as launch a promotional sales campaign through which the company expects to raise another $250,000. Gardner challenged other Utah companies to match Stampin' Up!'s contribution or to give as much as they are able. Stampin' Up!'s donation will go to Save the Children, an international nonprofit organization that provides care and protection for children around the world, and is already well established and working in the disaster area.

"This tragedy and upheaval of lives is almost beyond comprehension. The fact that one-third of the victims were children just makes it that much more heartbreaking," says Gardner. "Our deepest compassion goes out to the survivors."

Stampin' Up!, is a direct sales company located in Riverton that manufactures and sells decorative rubber stamps throughout the U.S. and Canada. It currently has over 42,000 independent demonstrators who sell Stampin' Up! products at in-home workshops. The sales promotion, named "Relief from A to Z," will run from January 1 to February 28. A contribution of $7.50 CAN / $5.00 US from the sale of each Stampin' Up! alphabet stamp set will be donated to the relief effort. There are 20 alphabet sets to choose from. Single sets are $38.95 CAN / $26.95 US and double sets (with upper and lower case letters) are $55.95 CAN / $38.95 US. Sets can be purchased only through Stampin' Up! demonstrators.
Customers can visit the Stampin' Up! Web site at www.stampinup.com or call 1-800-STAMP UP to reach a demonstrator.

"The people of Utah have always had an exemplary spirit of giving," says Gardner. "I know this emergency will be no exception." Stampin' Up!'s donation will go to Save the Children, an international nonprofit organization that provides care and protection for children around the world, and is already well established and working in the area.
