Stampin' Up! Reaches Milestone with
Company Expansion
80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility to open for business in Kanab, Utah; Global
expansion continues with New
Zealand launch in April
SALT LAKE CITY-Stampin' Up!® , a leading manufacturer and distributor of
decorative rubber stamps and accessories for card making, scrapbooking and home
décor, is undertaking major expansion in 2007, and has announced that it will
open a new manufacturing facility in March. Stampin' Up! will also be launching
into New Zealand
in April. The company's expansion milestone reflects the ongoing worldwide
passion for decorative rubber stamping and crafting.
After
relying on one manufacturing facility for 14 years in Kanab, Stampin' Up! will
open the doors to a second 80,000-square-foot facility later this month. Public
tours of the facility will take place March 31, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.-address
1400 South Main Street
Kanab, Utah.
"We
are delighted to further our commitment to the employees of Stampin' Up! and
the surrounding communities with a brand new facility," said Shelli Gardner, CEO and Co-Founder of Stampin' Up!
"The new facility will be instrumental as we expand globally and continue to
deliver quality products to our consumers in a timely manner."
The
Kanab facility is equipped with the latest technological advances, including a
geothermal field that utilizes the temperature from the ground (natural energy)
to heat and cool the building. Stampin' Up! also recognizes the importance of
applying high-tech filtration systems to ensure clean-air manufacturing, and is
conducting extensive research into this, to guarantee the continued well-being
of the community and surrounding areas. The facility located on 55 acres of
land is designed to allow for plenty of future growth as the company continues
to expand globally and the demand for products increases.
As
part of the Stampin' Up!'s global expansion initiative and after a successful
launch in Australia last
year, the company has chosen to enter the New Zealand market April 1, 2007. This
will be the company's third international market.
Stampin'
Up!, a direct sales organization, exceeded 50,000 independent consultants or
"demonstrators," throughout the US,
Canada and Australia in 2007, and was recognized as a "Best
of State" winner for Manufacturing in Utah
in 2006, 2005 and 2004. Stampin' Up! will now offer home-based business
opportunities to New Zealander's with a local office in Auckland.
