Tricky Tip Tuesday – Upcycling Wood Blocks

This week’s “tricky tip” shows you an easy way to upcycle wood blocks.  Simply design your labels in MDS, apply Crystal Effects to the back of the label, adhere the label to the wood block, then brush another layer of Crystal Effects over the wood block and label. It takes just minutes and is so much fun!

I dressed up the backs of the wood blocks, too!

Have you created anything unique or unusual with wood blocks? Let us know!

Wow! I always seal my wood blocks with Krylon's triple thick crystal clear spray because the blocks cleans up (except with black ink), I never thought about crystal effects! And MDS makes them look like art! So impressive!

anyway, I would totally customize my labels but would definitively put my stamps on them. I love clear mount, but wood mount are still my faves! With the stamp positioner, I have little problems positioning!

I converted my wood stamps to clear mount and this is a great way to use those all blocks!

@ Eileen. Yep, that's right -- no stamp. I designed the labels in MDS, printed them, and adhered them to the wood blocks. This would work really well with the new Mother's Day download that came out today!
