Blendabilities Product Line Has Been Discontinued

Many of you may already be aware that we have experienced a quality issue with our Blendabilities product line, and we thank you for your patience as we’ve worked through this sensitive matter.

We’ve done everything possible to work with our manufacturer; unfortunately, with no solution in sight, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to discontinue this popular product line.

We have provided you with a Q & A in the hopes that this will answer any questions or concerns you may have.

    I understand Blendabilities are discontinued but my question is: were they water based or alcohol based markers??? Please respond

    That explains why one in my set was dry the moment I opened the package. I didn't return because it took me 3 months to open them up:). For sure the lesson learned is to test items when I receive. Plus the other two markers seem to be working fine. I loved the concept of having them match the color families and the cost.

    I'm glad they discontinued, the product was difficult to use, the markers were poorly designed and it was always a pain to open and close those things.

    Is there an alternative manufacturer that you recommend. Copics are way too expensive for my budget and it is very difficult to figure out color combinations that work well. Thanks for your help. I hope you are able to find another manufacturer with a better product.

    Can the pens I bought last year be able to be returned so I am able to buy a better product. For blending. Mine are drying up way too fast. They have hardly been used. Thanks

    Is there any possibility that there will be a replacement or another item in the near future that could take the Blendabilities place? They had some of the best skin tones I have seen.

    I accept the fact that we have to adapt to losing Blendabilities. Now I have a problem I wonder if someone has the answer. I am working on a card that needs a specific color stamp for the cover. I found the needed color in a Copic pen I have but it is nearly impossible to use as we did Blendabilities. I color the stamp and then breathe on it, but it literally sticks to the paper and leaves a splotchy result after being pulled up. I've tried everything I know but still get the same result. Has anyone else had this problem? And found how to remedy it? Thank goodness I tried it out on test paper but Momento black just isn't going to do the trick.... Help!

    I have almost all of the Blendabilities and have had NO trouble with them. I appreciate your business decision to discontinue a product for quality reasons and I certainly hope that you are investigating other similar products as a replacement item. I have absolutely loved using them.

    Having purchased nearly every set of these and seeing/experiencing the problems I just want to know how Stampin Up is going to handle this other than to tell us "Sorry". Over a couple orders I spent $166+ of these products. Stampin Up please give us some answers. Kindly post this for all to see. Thanks

    I have been a Stampin Up customer for 10 years. This year I purchased Melon Mombo Blendabilities and the darkest marker is dry. I also purchased Skin Tone Assortment and the Ivory marker is broken near the tip. My demonstrator said that you will not replace these. What kind of customer service is this. If you do not replace what is broken

    I'm really disappointed in the options that have been given to customers for replacement. I was just starting to build my Blendabilities collection and ordered two Blendabilities in January and two in February. I only received one of the sets ordered on February 17. I'd really like to return ALL of the sets and I wish that option had been given to your loyal SU customers. If I only have three colors available I will probably never use them. What a waste. My suggestion would be that you let customers return any UNOPENED packages and any opened packages that are defective. Since SAB won't be extended and you are likely going to run out of other SAB options, it would be give something like $10 SU credit toward a future purchase. This issue (combined with the dock workers strike) forced me to seek out other sources of stamping supplies. I had been very brand-loyal and spend about $600/year on your products... but I'm not very pleased with my experience(s) thus far in 2015!

    I'm really hoping Stampin Up will extend the butterfly basics bundle after Sale-A-Bration is over. That's one item I really wanted to order this month. I don't want to wait any longer and risk any free items going out of stock. Ugh. Disappointed like all of you. :(

    I do hope that a solution will eventually appear -- with this or another manufacturer -- and you will reinstate the Blendabilities line. I'm not a big fan of Copics, but loved all the Blendabilities I tried with my demonstrator. The three shades in one package was a big hit with me. Please do all you can to bring them back!

    I am so sorry to hear that Blendabilities are no longer available. I have them all, and I love the results upon completion of project. Hope you can find another company to supply these pens.

    I ordered the Butterfly bundle and was told the Butterflies thinlits die is no longer available. Why? I was very disappointed as I really wanted that die!

    Just so it's been noted: I am a brand new demonstrator and I joined specifically during Sale-A-Bration in order to take advantage of the Blendabilities in the SAB catalog. Now I have spent all my startup money and my first 30% off order and received over 10 sets of blendabilities I can't use to grow my business... This makes it difficult as I have lost money, my large discount order, and 10 SAB freebies I could have gotten instead!

    Of course, I am very disppointed, but understand the need to discontinue them. It is my observation that Stampin Up carries the best products of its kind available, for the most part!

    I do own some of the sets and have been lucky with no issues (knock on wood) I loved the idea of alcohol markers in SU colors, so I am extremely disappointed. I hope SU is searching out a different manufacturer and rethinks making them refillable like copics, the wagon I am about to jump on.

    Hopefully this isn't just supposed to be about blendabilities. All of your Polymere stamps don't stick to the clear blocks after you apply the picture of the stamp to them. The only way I am able to use them is to dampen it first and then is sometimes doesn't work either.This is very disturbing. Am I doing something wrong and if I am not what is Stamping up doing to correct the problem?

    Two of my blend abilities have the light pens not working well but the other pen med. & dark are fine. Is it best to hand all in or keep all and work with the other shades?

    I have just been introduced to this product from my Stampin" Up rep and am quite dismayed and upset by this news. I really think that a company as well-known and revered would take this stance.

    I understand the problem but now have concerns about refunds. I have talked directly to Stampin up" and have been given different directions to fulfill the replacement of the defective products. Things not looking good.

    After a year of sabbatical, most of my Stampin Up products have been discontinued. Since I did not own any stampin up markers, I decided to invest in your newest hot items, the blendabilities. When I called in it was suggested that I just use them in my private collection. This is very disappointing.

    Like the black ink I bought a couple of years ago that would not dry when you stamped a card. Now the blendabilities is a bust. I got most of my blendabilities by placing very large orders to receive them as a free gifts. As I understand something I've read there no replacements to make it right.

    I am so disappointed but understand the company's decision. The ones I have I love. They enhance my cards so much. I've been making cards for my family for 40+ years. I do hope their quality of the Blendables comes back to standard. I still will continue to purchase Stamping Up products. Sincerely, Linda Clagett

    I am bummed that it's come to this but I completely understand and respect your decision to pull Blendabilities. I am however concerned that Celebration is almost over and I still can't order the butterfly basics bundle with the thinlets. Will this be available to purchase before celebration is over or will this be gone before it's available again?

    I placed a very large order to get these pens at $11.95 for free. So when I return them you will be replacing the dollar value not the quantity of items, right? Because I would not have purchased so much at once if these where not free.

    if you are a demonstrator and filled out a survey, how long will it take for items to be shipped? I call customer service and they told me they have NO idea.... disappointed.
