Due November First

When we first found out, I must admit I was slightly (okay, maybe hugely!) shocked. You see, Shalae and Jon thought their family was complete, so I was totally not expecting the news! And because Shalae wanted the news to remain quiet until some time had passed, I didn’t post the news then. Well, it’s been months since the news has been shared, but I forgot to post it here.

Bits & Pieces

There’s an old proverb that says “Seeing is believing.” In other words, one needs to physically see something before it can be accepted as real. I truly wouldn’t have to see it to believe that most of you have something that looks a bit like this . . . your very own collection of what I call Bits & Pieces!

Not Asian- Inspired

I learned that Stella wanted all things Asian for her birthday (a dress from China, chopsticks, and a fan—and to eat at Tsunami, our favorite Japanese restaurant) only a couple of days before her birthday, so when you see her birthday money packaging, you’ll know I missed the memo! It’s still bright and fun packaging, but definitely not Asian-inspired!

Watercolor Stamping Technique

Personally I'm a huge fan of watercolor techniques, and luckily there are many different techniques to choose from. Today I'm going to use the "watercolor stamping technique." This is an easy technique which you can use for big background stamps like the one I'm going to use today, the Diagonal Stripe Stamp Set (item 141917).
