Stampin' Up! Expands its Worldwide Headquarters

Naylor Wentworth Lund Architects and Okland Construction Chosen For $20 Million Project


Salt Lake City, Utah (February 13, 2003) - On Point Properties LLC, announced today that it has selected Okland Construction Company (www.okland.com) to build a 300,000 square foot campus on 55 acres in Riverton, Utah. The building will be leased upon completion to Stampin' Up!®, one of the nation's leading manufacturers of decorative rubber stamps and accessories, for its worldwide headquarters. The estimated $20 million project is being designed by Naylor Wentworth Lund Architects (www.nwlarchitects.com) and is scheduled to break ground in Spring 2003 and be completed in July 2004.

Their experience, creativity, professionalism and knowledge made them the ideal partners for this new and exciting venture for Stampin' Up!," said Shelli Gardner, a principal of On Point Properties LLC as well as cofounder and CEO of Stampin' Up! "We have experienced phenomenal growth in the past 15 years of business and the new campus will accommodate our expansion for at least the next 15 years!"

The new Stampin' Up! campus will merge its distribution center now located in west Salt Lake City, Utah with its administrative home office currently headquartered in Sandy, Utah. Prior to designing the campus, Gardner requested Ken Naylor, principal architect at Naylor Wentworth Lund Architects, to gather input from every employee so that the new facility could offer amenities and services most important to those using it every day.

"Interviewing every employee was quite an undertaking," commented Naylor. "It helped us understand the magnitude of the design issues and allowed us to catch the enthusiasm of Shelli and her Stampin' Up! family."

As a result, the administrative home office will span 100,000 square feet and will include Class-A office space with state-of-the-art conference rooms, a 100-person call center, cafeteria and an ample display room where art and home décor projects using Stampin' Up!'s exclusive rubber stamps are beautifully showcased. In addition, an 11,000-square-foot atrium will bring the beauty of the outdoors inside with trees, plants and a fountain. The 200,000-square-foot distribution center will house the company's warehousing, fulfillment, shipping and receiving capabilities. The distribution center will also feature a mezzanine that serves as an intermediary space between the two buildings. Stampin' Up!'s manufacturing facility will remain in its current location in Kanab, Utah

'We are excited to construct this fine facility with such a great team," said Dan Pennock, Okland's project manager for the Stampin' Up! campus. "Stampin' Up! has a great vision for what they want for their facility and the design team is very creative, professional and just a dynamite group to be involved with. I expect this project to be a very positive experience."

Okland's past experience with Naylor Wentworth Lund includes Snow Canyon High School in St. George, Utah and the Morgan Middle School in Morgan, Utah.
