Stampin' Up! Supports Area School District Foundations
SALT LAKE CITY (July 20, 2001) - On Friday, July 20, area school districts-and, ultimately, area students-benefited from a product donation worth approximately $160,000 given by Stampin' Up!®, a Sandy-based company that creates and offers an exclusive line of decorative rubber stamp sets and accessories for home décor, greeting cards, craft projects and scrapbooking.
Salt Lake City area school education foundations-Davis, Granite, Jordan, Salt Lake City and Murray-were informed of this donation opportunity, which included the following supplies: backpacks, lapboards, lunch bags, portfolio bags, display totes, decorative background papers, terracotta molds, foam stamp sets, markers and ink pads. Supplies were distributed from Stampin' Up!'s Distribution Center and Warehouse in Salt Lake City. All the foundations accepted the opportunity.
"Stampin' Up!'s donation is a great example of being a corporate citizen and partner with public education," says Jack Dellastatious, Davis School District Foundation Assistant Director. "In some cases, this is better than money. Our teachers deeply appreciate this type of donation. Imaginations, creativity and innovations are stimulated when resources are available. This is education at its best."
"We are committed to making a difference in the communities where our Stampin' Up! employees and their families live," says Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up! Co-Founder and CEO. "We hope the local school district foundations and area students benefit from and enjoy these supplies."
