Stampin' Up! Releases new 2001-2002 Idea Book & Catalog Filled with more than 600 Decorative Stamping Project Ideas

SALT LAKE CITY (July 27, 2001) - Stampin Up!®, one of the nation's largest decorative rubber stamp manufacturers, has just released its new 2001-2002 Idea Book & Catalog, offering craft enthusiasts more than 250 pages of stamping ideas and products from four exclusive product lines as well as accessories. With more than 600 sample ideas and color photographs, the new publication reflects the growing national passion and demand for rubber stamp products used to create unique and distinctive greeting cards, gifts, scrapbook pages and home décor projects.

"Stampin' Up! is excited to release its new 2001-2002 Idea Book & Catalog as its fresh, contemporary style shows how decorative rubber stamping is growing and evolving into new creative outlets, such as scrapbooking and home décor," says Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up! Co-Founder and CEO. "It's full of inspiring ideas for stamping enthusiasts of all skill levels-beginner to advanced."

Stampin' Up! stands out as a leader in the hobby and craft industry for its fresh designs, its production of high-quality, wood-mounted rubber stamps and its unique packaging concept of combining stamps in sets of coordinated images-a concept that offers customers value and versatility. Stampin' Up!'s 48 exclusive colors of paper, markers, ink pads and refills virtually eliminate the guesswork involved in coordinating stamping projects.

The Idea Book & Catalog is the ideal resource for creative stamping ideas, offering the latest in designs and techniques as well as hundreds of stamps, accessories, papers and colors. This year's Idea Book & Catalog offers four new stamp set sections: From the Heart, Vintage, Contempo Collection and All-Occasion Greetings, making it easier to find a specific style of stamp. Contempo Collection stamps such as Oriental Paintings (page 141), On The Nile (page 145) and Celtic Knots (page 144) illustrate the diversity of Stampin' Up!'s newest stamp sets, highlighting the international and ethnic flair that is currently popular in rubber stamping. Stamp sets such as Stipple Shells (page 37), Terrific Tulips (page 49), Wolf (page 189) and Autumn (page 110) represent just a few of Stampin' Up!'s design styles, which include stipple, brushstroke, watercolor and illustrative. Stampin' Up!'s bold Definitely Decorative® product line includes several new stamp sets, such as Old Glory (page 41), Ferns (page 57) and Pinecones (page 113), making home décor projects fun and easy.

Stampin' Up!'s scrapbooking product line, Stampin' Memories®, has expanded, offering many new accessories including: padded, post-bound designer albums in 8½x11 and 12x12, designed and printed with Stampin' Up!'s exclusive artwork-each including 10 page protectors; nine new Simply Scrappin'T kits which contain papers, punch-out frames, images and corners-all coordinated around a theme; a variety of new colors, including Stampin' Up!'s exclusive colors in two assortments, Earth & Regal Tones and Bright & Subtle Tones, offered in 12 x 12 papers.

Classy BrassT templates-designed to complement Stampin' Up! images and provide added dimension to artwork-has expanded with eight new designs, including Bold Greetings, Frames & Borders, Happy Birthday and Little Shapes. The stencils feature decorative edges that match the edges produced by Stampin' Up!'s decorative scissors.

Among the new durable plastic scrapbooking templates and stencils (nine designs) introduced in the 2001-2002 Idea Book & Catalog, Stampin' Up! now offers envelope templates-creating coordinating cards and envelopes is simple with these tools.

Due to the popularity of Stampin' Up!'s first tattoo kit, an additional kit is introduced this year, offering six fresh new stamp designs with a navy ink pad and six markers. The kits' washable inks last for hours, allowing stampers of all ages to have fun wearing temporary tattoos.

All creative ideas are detailed in the catalog's project index, Stampin' Supplies, a feature that provides stampers with a list of stamps, papers, inks and accessories needed to create projects showcased in the idea book. The 2001-2002 Idea Book & Catalog may be purchased from a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for $9.95.
