Utah-Based Stampin' Up! Raises More than $1 Million For September 11th Fund

SALT LAKE CITY (November 1, 2001) - Within 30 business days of introducing its commemorative God Bless America Special Edition stamp, Stampin' Up!® has surpassed the one million dollar mark. As one of the nation's leading manufacturers of decorative rubber stamps and accessories, Stampin' Up! created the stamp to raise money for The September 11th Fund, a national disaster-relief fund established and administered by the New York Community Trust and the United Way of New York.

To date, more than 147,000 stamps have been sold equating to a donation of more than $1,025,000.00, and sales continue to rise. The entire purchase price of $6.95 is being donated.

The financial donation is the result of contributions by several organizations and thousands of individuals on behalf of Stampin' Up! To date, thousands of dollars in raw materials have been donated or discounted from most Stampin' Up! raw material suppliers. Stampin' Up!'s sales force, known as Stampin' Up! demonstrators, have waived their usual 20% commission on the sale of the stamp. And Stampin' Up! is donating the entire purchase of the stamp, and is absorbing thousands of dollars in labor, overhead, manufacturing, and additional raw materials costs.

"We are thrilled with the response to this stamp by everyone involved," says Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up! Co-Founder and CEO. "Our original goal was to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to aid those most closely affected by the September 11th tragedies, and to surpass one million dollars speaks volumes of the support and dedication we have received from our demonstrators, suppliers and customers."

Stampin' Up!'s God Bless America Special Edition stamp continues to sell for $6.95 plus shipping and handling and can be ordered nationwide through Stampin' Up! demonstrators. Local demonstrators can be easily located by calling 1-800-STAMP UP (1-800-782-6787).
