Stampin' Up! On the Move Again
Launching in Australia in 2006
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (January 16, 2006) - Following a successful launch in Quebec in July, 2005, Riverton-based Stampin' Up! is announcing plans to launch in Australia in spring (autumn in Australia) 2006. Stampin' Up!®, a leading manufacturer and distributor of decorative rubber stamps and accessories for card making, scrapbooking, and home décor, has chosen to enter Australia due to the tremendous popularity of rubber stamping and paper crafting there.
After achieving two major milestones in 2005, opening its 300,000 square foot campus in Riverton and successfully launching into Quebec, its first foreign-speaking market, Stampin' Up! shows no sign of slowing down in 2006. Australia will be Stampin' Up!'s second international market.
"I have had a global vision for Stampin' Up! for the last several years. Our solid success in Canada makes me very excited about the opportunity in Australia," says Shelli Gardner, cofounder and president of Stampin' Up! "I'm confident that the interest in rubber stamping and paper crafting in Australia will continue to blossom."
Stampin' Up!, a direct sales organization, exceeded 50,000 independent consultants or "demonstrators," throughout the US and Canada in 2005, and was nominated "Best of State" in Manufacturing in Utah. Stampin' Up! will now offer home-based business opportunities to Australians with a local office located in Sydney.
Stampin' Up! operates two state-of-the-art facilities including a 40,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Kanab and a 300,000-square-foot corporate office, distribution center, and demonstrator support call center in Riverton, Utah.
