Direct Selling Association Recognizes Stampin' Up! with the Education for Life Award
SALT LAKE CITY (May 28, 2004)-The Direct Selling Association (DSA) recently awarded Stampin' Up!® its 2004 Education for Life Award. The Education for Life Award honors companies that invest in their sales force through education and training that benefit the company's demonstrators in life as well as in work. Stampin' Up! was awarded this recognition based on its 2003 Leadership Conference entitled "Life in Balance." Past winners of this national accolade include Avon Products, Inc., AdvoCare International, HMI Industries, The Southwestern Company, and DK Family Learning.
"Stampin' Up! believes in its demonstrators. We encourage them to develop their creativity, share their talents, and pursue their goals and dreams," said Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up!'s cofounder and CEO. "Providing meaningful education is a natural outgrowth of that core value."
Stampin' Up! seeks to provide its demonstrators with exceptional training and business tools while maintaining an emphasis of balance and personal fulfillment. At its 2003 Leadership Conference, demonstrators attended classes and received tools to help them balance their businesses with their personal and family lives. Demonstrators were encouraged to evaluate their priorities and find effective ways to manage their time, meet their goals, and maintain commitment to their values.
The DSA is the national trade association of many of the nation's leading direct-sales companies. The DSA announces awards each year for Education for Life, Success, Partnership, Vision for Tomorrow, and Industry Innovation. This is the first time Stampin' Up! has been recognized with a DSA award.
