Stampin' Up! Honored as One of Utah's Best
Company Receives Best of State Statue for Manufacturing
SALT LAKE CITY (June 20, 2005) - For the second year in a row, Stampin' Up!® received the prestigious Best of State Statue for its superior manufacturing process of high-quality rubber stamps. Recognition comes from the Best of State organization (www.bestofstate.org), Utah's premier recognition and awards program. The company was also honored to accept the Best of State medal in the manufacturing subcategory, Rubber/Plastic Products.
"We're honored to receive the Best of State Statue," said Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up! cofounder and CEO. "We are committed to manufacturing quality products, and being recognized for our manufacturing reinforces that commitment. We feel a strong dedication to what we do and the people who do it. We've maintained our manufacturing facilities in Kanab, Utah, for the past 12 years because of our deep loyalty to the people and community and their unswerving support of our high-quality manufacturing processes and techniques."
From its humble beginnings 17 years ago, Stampin' Up! has grown into an internationally recognized producer of rubber stamps. Since 1993, Stampin' Up! has manufactured its award-winning rubber stamps in Kanab, Utah; Stampin' Up! is the largest private employer in Kane County. It would be more financially feasible to move the manufacturing plant to Salt Lake City, where its home office is located, but the company remains in the small town of Kanab out of loyalty to its employees and the community. Stampin' Up! will break ground on a second manufacturing facility in Kanab later this year.
"Stampin' Up!'s manufacturing employees are dedicated to producing quality products because the company is dedicated to us," said Jeremy Shipe, Stampin' Up! Human Resource Generalist.
Stampin' Up! received its Best of State Statue and medal on June 18, at the Best of State Awards Gala. The Best of State awards program annually recognizes Utah's outstanding businesses, individuals and organizations. Awards are given in ten main categories: Arts & Entertainment, Business Services, Community Development, Dining Establishments, Education, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, Merchandising & Consumer Services, Production & Manufacturing, Science & Technology, and Sports & Recreation. Stampin' Up! is pleased to receive this prestigious medal in the Manufacturing category.
