Accident & Hospital Indemnity

Full-time employees who actively work at least 30 hours per week along with their legal spouse, dependent children up to age 26, are eligible for accident and hospital indemnity coverage through Voya. Coverage for new hires begins on the first of the month following their date of hire.

Benefit Information

Voya’s Accident and Hospital Indemnity coverage provides essential financial support, helping employees manage out-of-pocket expenses and ensuring they can focus on getting better instead of worrying about the costs associated with medical care. This supplemental coverage is designed to work alongside your primary health insurance, providing additional financial assistance for unexpected events.

Accident Insurance

Accident Insurance pays you benefits for specific injuries and events resulting from a covered accident that occurs on or after your coverage effective date. Get a benefit payment to spend on deductibles, groceries, gas, utilities, or anything you’d like. Accident Insurance is a limited benefit policy. This is not health insurance and does not satisfy the requirement of minimum essential coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

If you enroll in Accident Insurance coverage, you have access to the Wellness Benefit, which will pay you and covered family members an annual benefit if they complete an eligible health screening test. These screenings may include a mental health screening, flu immunization, a mammogram and a routine eye or dental exam. Your Wellness Benefit is $75 for employees, $75 for spouses, $75 per child.

You can use this money for any expense you’d like. Childcare, groceries, help around the house—it’s up to you. Hospital Indemnity Insurance is a limited benefit policy. This is not health insurance and does not satisfy the requirement of minimum essential coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
